Danielle of NewJeans Hints at Solo Comeback Without ADOR? Emotional Oranges’ Post Fuels Speculation Before vanishing
Danielle of NewJeans Sparks Speculation with Deleted Post
A recent post featuring Danielle, a member of K-pop group NewJeans, has caused a stir among fans after it was abruptly deleted. On May 19, the Los Angeles-based R&B duo Emotional Oranges shared an image of Danielle on their social media, accompanied by a collaboration emoji that included an orange, representing the duo, and a bunny for NewJeans. The caption read, “Hang tight. Coming soon,” hinting at a potential solo project for Danielle.
In the image, Danielle sported a casual yet stylish outfit, including denim jeans and sunglasses. The post attracted considerable attention amid the ongoing situation with NewJeans, as the group has paused activities while seeking to terminate their contracts with agency ADOR.
Despite the initial excitement surrounding the possibility of Danielle’s solo endeavors, the deletion of the post left fans puzzled. Just days prior, on May 16, Emotional Oranges released their album Orenjii, featuring collaborations with artists like NCT’s Jaehyun and Jessie Reyez.
Emotional Oranges, consisting of Azad and Vali, has made a name for themselves since their debut in 2019 with their innovative sound and tracks such as Motion and Personal. Their performances at prestigious festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza have further solidified their place in the music scene.
Meanwhile, NewJeans is currently in a legal battle with ADOR, as they work to dissolve their exclusive contracts, a process complicated by a court’s decision favoring the agency. The group’s activities have effectively been on hold, as they navigate this challenging phase while their independent pursuits remain limited under the name NJZ.
