
Dragon Pony Named Billboard’s K-Pop New Artist of the Month
Dragon Pony has been recognized as Billboard’s K-pop Rookie of the Month for May. In a feature published on May 15, the publication highlighted the band as a standout in Korea’s evolving rock scene.
Billboard described Dragon Pony as “a four-member Korean rock band bringing fresh energy and musical depth,” with a strong emphasis on storytelling and collaborative songwriting. They noted the band’s commitment to redefining modern Korean rock, adding that they are quickly making an impact in the industry.
The group’s rapid ascent includes a performance at the Busan International Rock Festival, a nationwide club tour, and a sold-out concert in Taipei. In their interview with Billboard, the members expressed their gratitude for the recognition, stating, “We’re incredibly honored and grateful to be chosen as Billboard’s K-pop Rookie of the Month. We’ll keep pushing ourselves to reach the Billboard charts and grow even more.”
They also shared aspirations for a world tour and dreams of headlining major festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, and even the Super Bowl halftime show.
Dragon Pony is set to perform in Taipei for their first concert, “Not Out,” on May 23–24, followed by appearances at significant Korean music festivals, including ‘Beautiful Mint Life 2025’ on June 14 and the ‘2025 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival’ on August 1, solidifying their presence in the live music scene.
