Jeon Ho Jun denies assault allegations, reveals he was actually the victim
The controversy started when a Korean actor, Jeon Ho Jun, was accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend. He responded with a lengthy statement on Instagram on the 24th.
He said the last seven months were full of misunderstandings and stigma based on false claims.
“For the past seven months, I have had to endure serious misunderstandings and stigmatization based on claims that were not true. The investigation found Jeon Ho Jun was not the perpetrator but the victim. He was hit on the head with a cellphone. His actions were minimal and purely defensive.
“The investigation concluded that I was not the perpetrator but the victim of assault. The prosecution issued a ‘non-prosecution decision’ regarding the assault charges filed against me. On the flip side, his ex-girlfriend faces prosecution for defamation, special injury, and trespassing. Jeon Ho Jun expressed frustration over distorted stories damaging his reputation.
“On the other hand, the other party has been prosecuted on charges including defamation through spreading false facts, special injury, and trespassing. Through this experience, I have deeply realized how easily a person’s character and life can be damaged when distorted or exaggerated stories spread.
