Drummer-Turned-Actor Shares How His Band’s 2005 Smash Hit Continues to Generate Income

Kim Jun Han is making headlines for the lasting success of his hit song “Emergency Room” with the band izi.
The controversy began when actor Yoo Yeon Seok doubted the song’s popularity during his YouTube series. He guessed the track had already dropped off Korea’s karaoke Top 100 list.
Soon after, Kim Jun Han fired back, saying it’s still in the Top 20. The group played “Guess The Ranking” on the show. Yoo Yeon Seok guessed it fell out of the Top 100. Others guessed between #60-90.
As the situation unfolded, it was revealed “Emergency Room” actually ranked #5 as of March 15, 2026.
Yoo Yeon Seok: “Emergency Room used to always be in the karaoke Top 100, but I heard it’s fallen off recently.”
Kim Jun Han: “That’s a misunderstanding. As far as I know, it’s still well within the top 20.”
Kim Jun Han proudly added the song has never left the Top 100 for 20 years. He also confirmed that karaoke plays generate royalties, which adds up over time.
Kim Jun Han: “Little by little, but it builds up and certainly ends up helping in life.”
