ENHYPEN Leads Oricon Daily Album Chart with ‘DESIRE: UNLEASH’

ENHYPEN is making serious waves in Japan once again with their latest mini album, DESIRE : UNLEASH. Dropping on June 6 locally, the album sold a whopping 275,344 copies on its very first day, grabbing the top spot on Oricon Japan’s Daily Album Ranking right away. This win continues their perfect streak—it’s the twelfth time in a row that their album releases have hit number one on this chart, whether launched in Korea or Japan.

What’s really turning heads is how DESIRE : UNLEASH outperformed all their previous releases in first-day sales. The 275,344 copies sold nearly double the opening day numbers of their last album, the repackaged second studio album ROMANCE : UNTOLD – daydream. This clearly shows how much stronger ENHYPEN is getting in the Japanese market.

The album didn’t just stay on top of Oricon charts. It quickly climbed to number one on Japan’s iTunes Top Albums and Apple Music Top Albums charts as well, proving it’s not just about physical sales but digital streams and downloads too.

The lead single, "Bad Desire (With or Without You)," has been picking up steam on streaming platforms. It topped the Realtime Rising Music Top 100 chart on AWA, a popular Japanese streaming service, landed in the top 10 on Oricon’s Daily Digital Single Ranking for June 6, and reached number six on LINE MUSIC Japan’s Music Video Top 100. Fans are clearly hooked on the track.

Looking beyond Japan, DESIRE : UNLEASH has impressive global numbers. It sold more than 1.95 million copies in just three days after its release, putting ENHYPEN on track for their third double million-seller album. Media outlets overseas have also noticed the group’s growth. Dazed UK described the album as “an impressively cohesive album,” and Billboard Philippines commented that “ENHYPEN continues to challenge artistic boundaries.”
