ENHYPEN Shares Their Experience at Coachella

ENHYPEN recently made an appearance on the June 6 episode of the music show The Seasons – Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile, where they talked about their journey in music and their latest comeback with the 6th mini-album Desire: Unleash. During the interview, the group opened up about a milestone that really stood out for them—their first-ever performance at Coachella earlier this year.

Jungwon reflected on the significance of Coachella, saying,

“To be honest, Coachella is a dream stage. So, we still couldn’t believe it. We prepared with everything we got, life or death.” Jungwon

Heeseung added some behind-the-scenes details about the challenging environment at the festival,

“Some might not be aware, but Coachella takes place in the desert. There was a lot of sand in the wind, so it was really hard to sing and sand would get stuck. So we drank a lot of water even moments before going on stage.” Heeseung

Host Park Bo Gum showed his admiration for the group’s hard work, especially considering the length of their set. He pointed out,

“The Coachella performance is actually really long,”

and then asked about their preparations.

Jungwon revealed,

“We prepared about 13 tracks, and we performed 45 minutes straight.”

Park Bo Gum expressed pride in seeing ENHYPEN represent Korea on such a major international stage:

“It was just so amazing and wonderful, I feel full of pride, to see you represent Korea and perform at such a huge festival.” Park Bo Gum

The conversation then shifted to the members’ growth since their debut five years ago. When asked who had changed the most, Jungwon singled out the youngest member, Ni-Ki. Ni-Ki joked about his growth spurt,

“I think it’s because I was the smallest member, but now I’m the tallest.” Ni-Ki

The host was curious about Ni-Ki’s age and background,

“Can I ask how old you are?” Park Bo Gum

Ni-Ki replied,

“I’m 21.” Ni-Ki

Park Bo Gum couldn’t hide his envy and asked more about Ni-Ki’s move from Japan to Korea:

“Wow, he’s 21! So you lived in Japan and came to Korea. How old were you when you came to Korea?” Park Bo Gum

Ni-Ki shared,

“I came when I was in middle school,”

which surprised the audience. Park Bo Gum also inquired about the ages of the other members. Learning that the oldest member was born in 2001, and three others in 2002, he expressed envy again, lightening the mood with some laughter.
