EVAN (formerly ENHYPEN’s Heeseung) is under fire after a mysterious Instagram story stirred up fans and sparked accusations of shade toward his former group, ENHYPEN.

The controversy began when EVAN’s producer and alleged friend, Apro, posted an Instagram story on June 25 showing four dashes with only the middle two letters filled in—spelling “V A N” but missing the “E N.” Fans quickly linked this to EVAN’s name and ENHYPEN’s stylized “EN-,” interpreting it as a deliberate slight.

Soon after, Apro liked a fan’s story pointing out the missing “EN” and questioning if it was a spoiler. This fueled speculation that Apro—and by extension EVAN—were throwing shade at ENHYPEN.
