EXO Member Accused of Unpaid Balance for Solo Music Video Production

EXO Xiumin is facing backlash over unpaid fees for his latest music video.
The controversy began when video production company 815 VIDEO announced on March 19 that they have yet to receive full payment for producing Xiumin’s music video “Overdrop.”
815 VIDEO revealed they completed the full music video and teaser in August 2025 at the request of INB100, Xiumin’s agency. The total fee was 82.46 million KRW (about $55,085 USD), but only an advance of 16.5 million KRW ($11,025 USD) has been paid.
The remaining balance of 65.96 million KRW ($44,059 USD) remains unpaid despite repeated requests.
“We have repeatedly requested payment for the remaining balance since the due date; however, following the resignation of the person in charge at the time, we have not received a clear response for a specific payment date,” 815 VIDEO stated.
The company added that the music video has already been released and is actively used for Xiumin’s promotions. They expressed regret over the delayed payment and warned they may take legal action if the balance is not settled soon.
“815 VIDEO has been negotiating for quite some time to reach an amicable resolution. We would like to inform you that if the outstanding balance is not paid promptly, we will have no choice but to review all necessary actions to protect our rights under the contract.”
Fans quickly reacted online with disappointment, especially since Xiumin’s departure from SM Entertainment.
Comments from netizens included:
- “Nothing is easy…why did he leave SM…in that way too?”
- “Honestly, the news I hear about him since leaving the company is all just bad news.”
- “I bet he’s regretting his decisions.”
- “What is this nonsense…”
- “I guess they had to reveal his name since they weren’t giving them the money.”
- “I wonder why he left SM…”
As the situation unfolded, it remains unclear how INB100 and Xiumin will respond to the unpaid fees for the “Overdrop” music video. Fans are watching closely for updates on this payment dispute.
