Jo Jung Suk is facing buzz after sharing his unusual marriage habits with singer wife Gummy.
The controversy began on May 29th when the YouTube channel Jung Sang Hoon Unusual Hoon dropped a video titled “The Reason Jo Jung Suk Carries Gummy Around.”
Jo Jung Suk revealed they don’t celebrate anniversaries at all.
“We don’t celebrate anniversaries. We didn’t even do that when we were dating, and neither of us felt upset about it,” Jo Jung Suk said.
He added they do mark birthdays but skip gifts, and their wedding anniversary barely registers:
“We do celebrate birthdays, but we don’t really give gifts. We also don’t mark our wedding anniversary. It’s more like, ‘Oh right, today is our anniversary?’”
When asked what happens when they remember their anniversary, Jo Jung Suk joked:
“I carry her around. ‘There you go, our Gummy~’”
The comment got laughs but sparked reaction from fans who find the couple’s low-key approach unusual.
Jo Jung Suk and Gummy married in 2018. They have two daughters, born in 2020 and January this year.
