Famous Idol-Actor Reveals Harsh Truth About Trainee Dormitories

Im Siwan opened up about the harsh reality of his early days with ZE:A.
The actor and idol spilled the truth on Salon Drip 2 about surviving cramped dorm life and nonstop schedules.
He revealed the ZE:A members squeezed into one tiny room, ten people living shoulder to shoulder.
Im Siwan:
“It was like a game of Tetris, we’d be stacked like this.”
They lived in a space barely half the size of the studio where Siwan spoke. For over a year, they dealt with tight quarters.
“So when someone comes home late, they’d step on someone sleeping.”
Despite the struggle, they tolerated the rough conditions without complaints.
Even after debut, Siwan said the grind didn’t ease.
“But the alarm of the member who had to get up first was ringing when I came in, that meant I had to get out soon too.”
“That’s when I felt, ‘Is this how life is going to be?’”
Siwan’s story pulls back the curtain on idol hardships, showing just how tough ZE:A’s start was.
