Fans Organize Special Welcome Home Event for Jungkook’s Military Discharge
Fans of BTS member Jungkook are gearing up for a big celebration as he is about to complete his military service on June 11. To mark this special occasion alongside BTS’s debut anniversary, several fan clubs from different countries have planned a variety of projects around the Seoul metro area and near the HYBE headquarters.
One of the standout features will be the “Jungkook Buses,” which are sponsored by Jungkook’s Japanese fan club, Jungkook Japan. These buses, wrapped in vibrant images of Jungkook and the adorable “Kkuktugi” character—a personified version of Jungkook—will be cruising from June 10 to 15 around Yongsan-gu, close to HYBE’s main office, and near the FESTA event site in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. This timing also aligns nicely with BTS’s debut anniversary festivities happening in the area.
For fans visiting HYBE’s new Yongsan building, Jungkook Japan is also running another special campaign from June 10 to 16 at a 7-Eleven branch just a stone’s throw away. This ad campaign celebrates both Jungkook’s military discharge and the group’s anniversary.
Meanwhile, Korean fans aren’t missing out on the fun. The Jungkook Supporters fan club is putting up their own billboards on two major Seoul bus lines, Bus 100 and Bus 400, spanning a full month from June 5 all the way to July 4. These buses, many running through Yongsan, will proudly carry advertisements featuring Jungkook.
The celebrations are truly international, with the Chinese fan club Jungkook China also joining in. From June 11 to 15, they will operate a “Jungkook Bus” wrapped entirely with his images, parked near HYBE headquarters and its front gate. To add to the festive atmosphere, Jungkook Channel CIS is set to run a congratulatory video truck in the same area from June 11 to 13.
This collective fan support highlights the deep love and excitement surrounding Jungkook’s return, making the streets of Seoul and its surroundings a lively canvas of celebration.
