Fans Strongly Criticize BTS’s Creative Director, Call For Change

BTS is facing backlash over their creative direction under new creative director Kim Sung Min.

Fans say the group’s style took a nosedive after Kim Sung Min took over. He worked on the design for BTS’s hits like “Dynamite,” “Be,” and “Butter,” plus the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

But many fans aren’t happy at all. A viral online post slammed his work, with one fan calling it the start of “all these f*cked up aesthetics.”

Netizens piled on, saying the aesthetic changes ruined BTS’s identity:

> “Since this guy took over, the group’s aesthetics have hit rock bottom.”

> “‘Butter’ was absolute crap. Considering the size of the company and BTS’s status, it was extremely disappointing. It’s not like the company’s broke.”

> “The previous director understood how to capture the group’s identity…”

> “I don’t know about ‘Butter’, but ‘Take Two’ was too much.”

> “I’ve liked BTS for over 10 plus years, but that ‘Butter’ logo was horrible.”

> “‘Take Two’ literally looked like it was made in Paint.”

Fan complaints about BTS aesthetics

The criticism is loud and clear: fans want BTS’s look back — the one they say was lost under Kim Sung Min’s watch.

Fans point out HYBE’s resources and feel the quality should be higher with the company’s backing.

This controversy keeps spreading. No word yet from BTS or HYBE.
