Four Mixed-Gender K-Pop Groups Set to Make an Impact This Summer With Exciting Comebacks

This summer is turning into a hot season for co-ed K-pop groups, with four big names either making their debut or coming back with fresh music. Fans have multiple reasons to stay excited as these groups gear up for releases and tours packed with new sounds and energy.

Kicking things off early is ALLDAY PROJECT, a co-ed group featuring Annie, Tarzzan, Bailey, Woochan, and Youngseo. This group is especially notable because it comes from The Black Label, Teddy’s production house, marking only their second idol group launch. Introduced officially on June 9, ALLDAY PROJECT has been turning heads not just for the fact they’re mixed-gender but also because the members already have a solid following thanks to their varied backgrounds.

Their pre-release music video for “FAMOUS,” dropped on June 16, took off immediately online. It hit number one on YouTube’s trending music and video charts in Korea and even climbed to the top spot on YouTube’s global trending list. Not stopping there, it landed fourth on China’s QQ Music video chart. This early wave of success sets the stage for their official debut, which is set for June 23, when they’ll drop both “FAMOUS” and their double title track “WICKED.”

Following closely behind is JAESSBEE, a project co-ed group with JAEJAE, feellikefeel, and GABEE. They’re returning with their second album titled My Summer Manual on June 26 at 6 PM KST. Their previous release, “Every Moment With You,” was a big hit, topping YouTube trending charts and breaking into the Melon Top 10. Fans can expect the same charm and fresh vibes with this new summer release.

Next up, veteran co-ed group KARD is making a strong comeback with their eighth mini album, DRIFT, on July 2 at 6 PM KST. The members have been deeply involved in making this album, with all four contributing to the lyrics of the title track “Touch.” B.M and J.seph even have credits on every track. DRIFT continues the themes they explored in their previous album Where To Now? (Part.1: Yellow Light), reflecting the group’s ongoing journey of moving forward despite the unknown.

After the album drops, KARD will kick off their 2025 world tour, starting with a concert in Seoul on July 19, giving fans a chance to see their latest material live.

The last big name on the list is TYPHOON, the co-ed band led by Solbi alongside Woojae and Song Won Sup. They’re coming back on July 11 with their first release since “What’s Wrong With Me?” in September 2023. The group is currently working on a new album with all members taking part in the creative process. Their upcoming summer track aims to bring a nostalgic feeling reminiscent of their mid-2000s peak, combined with fresh energy for today’s fans.

"TYPHOON plans to bring a refreshing track for the height of summer, aiming to revive the nostalgic emotions of their peak era in the mid-2000s. Fans are looking forward to a comeback filled with memories and fresh musical energy." TYPHOON (agency statement)

The summer of 2025 is shaping up to be a season full of returns and breakthroughs for these co-ed groups. With ALLDAY PROJECT’s explosive debut, JAESSBEE’s promising new album, KARD’s upcoming mini album plus world tour, and TYPHOON’s return after a break, the co-ed K-pop scene is definitely something to watch closely.
