Red Velvet’s Irene is breaking records again as a solo artist with her first studio album, Biggest Fan.

After her solo debut in 2024 with record-breaking album sales, Irene’s Biggest Fan has taken off fast. The album sold over 199,000 copies on its first day, making her the highest first-day selling female idol of 2026.

The Red Velvet star has been busy since the group’s 10th anniversary release of “Cosmic.” Following her solo debut with “Like A Flower,” Irene reunited with fellow member Seulgi for their popular sub-unit and went on an Asia tour.

Fans were surprised by the strong sales, especially given Irene’s long career, but many say it proves her core fandom remains powerful.
