H.O.T. to Reunite as Complete Group After Six Years

H.O.T. is officially back as a full group for the first time in six years, and fans are buzzing with excitement. The legendary first-generation K-pop group is set to perform at the Hanteo Music Festival on September 6 and 7, which will take place at Seoul World Cup Stadium.
This reunion was kept under wraps until recently, when the festival hinted at a “representative legend of Korean music” joining the lineup. Now we know that it’s none other than H.O.T., a group that’s considered a cornerstone in K-pop history.
Since their debut in 1996, H.O.T. has delivered numerous hits like Candy, Warrior’s Descendant, Light, Happiness, Wolf and Sheep, We Are the Future, Line Up, and Child. They didn’t just make great music—they helped lay the foundation for the K-pop industry, breaking records in album sales and shaping fandom culture.
After disbanding in 2001, the members reunited briefly through the MBC variety show Infinite Challenge in 2018, followed by solo concerts at Seoul Olympic Stadium and Gocheok Sky Dome in 2018 and 2019. But it’s been six years since they’ve performed as a full group—until now.
This upcoming festival stage is expected to bring back the same powerful energy and charisma H.O.T. is famous for. Fans have been waiting a long time for this moment, and anticipation is running high.
The members themselves have talked about the possibility of reuniting multiple times. Lee Jaewon shared last year,
"We’re always thinking about performing together again. The possibility of reuniting is open. All the members share the same love for our fans. When the timing aligns, I truly believe we’ll be back on stage" Lee Jaewon
Similarly, Jang Woo Hyuk hinted at a reunion during Season 3 of MBN’s variety show Let’s Go, saying,
"We’ve been discussing it. I think something really good will happen next year." Jang Woo Hyuk
That “something really good” is finally happening with the news of their full-group performance at the Hanteo Music Festival. It looks like 2025 will be the year H.O.T. takes the stage together again, giving fans a long-awaited chance to relive the magic.
