Hwasa of MAMAMOO Addresses Viral Video Involving Park Jung Min

Hwasa is facing intense reactions after her viral “Good Goodbye” performance stirred up attention.
The controversy started last year with her show-stopping stage alongside actor Park Jung Min at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards. The performance went viral, sparking waves of parody videos online.
Soon after, Hwasa revealed she actually quit social media during that time and was “in the mountains” to escape the buzz.
“I’m spending this cold winter warmly and focusing on concert practice. Honestly, I can’t believe it. For now, I’m trying to keep going the way I always have.”

Her friends sent her tons of parody clips. Hwasa laughed off the fandom’s creativity, especially enjoying one with Lee Chang Ho and Kim Ji Yoo.
“My friends sent me a lot of parody videos, so I watched them, and they were hilarious. I especially enjoyed watching the one with Lee Chang Ho and Kim Ji Yoo.”

Among all her “Good Goodbye” stages, the most unforgettable was the final performance on Music Bank. She said it felt truly like a goodbye, smiling through tears.
“Although I enjoyed the performances with Wheein and Park Jung Min, the final performance was the most memorable. The concept was to say our final goodbyes, then leave with my bag in hand. It truly felt like a good goodbye. I can’t forget that moment because it was so heartfelt, as I was smiling brightly even though tears welled up in my eyes.”

Hwasa is now gearing up for her first solo concert since debut, set for January 17-18.
