Hybe Officially Announces BTS Full Group Return Date for Next Year

BTS

BTS is gearing up for a full-group comeback in March 2026, which will be their first since completing their mandatory military service. The final member, SUGA, finishes his enlistment this Saturday, wrapping up the 18-month military duties for all seven members.

While a precise date hasn’t been set yet, sources within the industry, including one from HYBE, say mid-March is the most likely timeframe. The comeback is expected to happen around the same time as their labelmates TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) return, though it’s unclear who will actually go first.

Interestingly, ENHYPEN, another HYBE group under the BELIFT LAB label, originally planned their own return in March 2026. But their comeback schedule was reportedly moved forward to January to avoid clashing with BTS‘s highly anticipated comeback. It’s worth noting that BTS is signed under Big Hit Music, which is part of HYBE’s multi-label system.

Big Hit Music, however, has stated that the comeback schedule is not confirmed yet despite all this buzz.

HYBE CEO Lee Jae Sang shed some light on why the comeback is set for a few months from now during a shareholder meeting held in March. He explained that after their discharge, the members will need enough time to prepare and focus on creative work.

In the meantime, the group’s eldest member Jin has started planning a solo fan concert tour titled Runseokjin_EP.Tour, which kicks off on June 28 and 29 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. This tour will cover 18 shows across nine cities, including stops in Japan (Chiba, Osaka), the U.S. (Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, Newark), and Europe (London, Amsterdam), running through August 10. Given Jin’s busy solo schedule, a group comeback before 2026 seems unlikely.

Still, insiders suggest that BTS might drop a pre-release single or work on a separate project before their official comeback happens.

The countdown to BTS’s reunion as a whole group is officially on, with March 2026 as the target but fans might get a little something sooner in the form of smaller releases or projects.
