Hyeri’s Remarks on LE SSERAFIM Chaewon’s Weight Spark Outrage

Hyeri is facing backlash over past comments about LE SSERAFIM’s Chaewon’s weight.

The controversy started with an old variety show clip going viral. In the clip, Hyeri asks Yena her weight. When Yena shares it, Hyeri says, “I can lift you, but not Chaewon, even though the difference is only 3 kg.” Others then join the conversation, saying they can’t lift Chaewon either. Chaewon appears uncomfortable as the focus keeps shifting to her weight.

The clip sparked anger online. Netizens criticized Hyeri for repeatedly bringing up Chaewon’s weight and said Chaewon looked visibly uncomfortable but everyone kept talking about it.

Soon after, some fans defended Hyeri, saying the clip is too short to judge and the two are close, so it couldn’t have been a real issue.
