ILLIT Reveals Return with New Mini Album “BOMB” Scheduled for June 16

ILLIT, the K-pop girl group, is gearing up for their much-anticipated comeback next month. Their agency, BELIFT LAB, announced on May 19 via Weverse that their third mini album, titled BOMB, will drop on June 16.

The album BOMB continues ILLIT’s innovative storytelling, focusing on how the group expands their world through connections. Following their debut album SUPERREAL ME, which delved into self-discovery, and their second album I’LL LIKE YOU, which explored budding affection, BOMB marks a deeper narrative of growth and interpersonal relationships. Fans are eager to see ILLIT, known for their quirky charm, showcase new artistic dimensions.

ILLIT made waves with their groundbreaking debut last year when their track "Magnetic" became the first K-pop debut song to enter both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Top 100. Their second mini album’s title track, “Cherish (My Love)”, also received significant support, contributing to the group’s 13 music awards, including 7 Rookie of the Year honors across Korea, the U.S., and Japan.

Continuing their momentum into 2025, ILLIT released “Almond Chocolate” as the theme song for a Japanese film in February. The track gained traction, peaking at #10 on Oricon’s Weekly Streaming Ranking, the highest position for a K-pop girl group song released in Japan this year.

Additionally, ILLIT is set to hold their first fan concert, 2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN SEOUL, on June 7-8 at Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park, both dates of which sold out during pre-sale. Pre-orders for BOMB began on May 19 at 11 AM KST.
