IU and Byeon Woo Seok Reveal Their Ten-Year Bond

IU and Byeon Woo Seok are reuniting on screen, but fans might not know this isn’t their first project together.

The two K-Drama stars are set for the upcoming series Perfect Crown, premiering April 10 on Disney+. But they revealed on the April 4 episode of DdeunDdeun YouTube channel that their history goes back much further.

When asked by Yoo Jae Suk if this was their first drama together, they shared it wasn’t.

“Ten years ago, [Byeon Woo Seok] appeared in the drama, ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryo,’ playing the role of my cheating boyfriend.” — IU

That was their first acting project as a couple — but not the last.

Byeon Woo Seok also said they worked together on a music video.

He made a brief appearance in IU’s teaser for Between the Lips.

IU says their real closeness formed while filming Perfect Crown.
