J-Hope Discusses BTS’ Swift Preparation for Full Group Activities Return

On the June 14 episode of MBC’s variety show Point of Omniscient Interfere (also called The Manager), BTS member J-Hope made a guest appearance to promote his new song "Killin’ It Girl (feat. GloRilla)." During the show, he shared some thoughts about his military discharge and the group’s upcoming full-unit activities.

J-Hope explained why he chose this particular show for his comeback appearance:

"When I was in the military, ‘Point of Omniscient Interfere’ was always airing reruns on TV. While watching it, I thought to myself, ‘I should definitely go on the show after I’m discharged.’" J-Hope

He also talked about a funny moment from the past, recalling the comedian cover of BTS’s "IDOL" by Yang Se Hyung, Yoo Byung Jae, and Park Sung Kwang during the 2018 MBC Entertainment Awards. Laughing, he said,

"Byungjae hyung was dancing like his face and body were moving separately in the beginning. I really enjoyed watching it." J-Hope

With Suga being the only member left to complete his military service, J-Hope reflected on how it feels now that almost all BTS members have finished theirs. He shared a mix of emotions:

"When I was discharged, I had mixed feelings. Now that all the members are finishing, I wonder if we’ll still have the same chemistry when we work together again. I feel both anxious and excited." J-Hope

He admitted some nervousness about syncing up again after their three-year break but expressed confidence that once they’re all back together, the group’s natural bond will kick in:

"We’re planning to gather and discuss the album. We’re trying to prepare as quickly as possible. Since BTS is all about performances, we’re also planning a full group world tour." J-Hope

Fans can definitely get excited with that news, especially as it points to a fast-moving comeback that includes not just new music but a full-scale world tour.

"Even if someone reaches BTS-level influence and career, there’s probably no more military exemption now lol. Welcome back, superstar."
"When will I be able to go to a BTS concert ㅠ I love how diverse their music is. I have an old-school taste, so I hope they include some Korean lyrics I can sing along to."
"I’m really looking forward to it, but I might actually lose it this time if I don’t get my grape light stickㅜ"

"Massive expectations. Yep, BTS is all about the stage."
"Watching ‘Spring Day’ made me feel good."
"Nice~~"
"Love it, love it."
