Jisoo’s Brother From BLACKPINK Refutes Illegal Filming Claims and Announces Legal Action
On May 29, controversy surrounded BLACKPINK‘s own Jisoo as her brother, Mr. Kim, took a stand against serious allegations. Responding to accusations shared on the anonymous platform Blind, he outright denied claims of illegal recording and dissemination of content.
In a brief statement to Ilgan Sports, he remarked, >“The allegations are completely false. I plan to take legal action and am currently in discussion with a law firm.”
The accusations stemmed from an anonymous post where an individual claimed to have been romantically involved with Mr. Kim. After their relationship, she alleged that she discovered she had been filmed without her consent. The individual further suggested that Mr. Kim had shared this footage with friends and hinted that he may have similar illegal recordings of other women in his possession. She is also contemplating legal steps against him.
In parallel, Jisoo has made headlines for her career moves beyond YG Entertainment. After officially departing from the label in 2023, she now leads her independent music label, Blissoo, as both CEO and artist. Excitingly, she plans to release a new album this summer and will also participate in BLACKPINK‘s upcoming world tour.
