K-Media Requires Apology From NJZ (NewJeans) Prior to Industry Return

NJZ is facing backlash after confirming their full return to ADOR following a year-long contract dispute.

The group, which branded themselves as K-pop “revolutionaries,” ended their fight to leave ADOR and announced they will continue activities under the company. This has sparked major controversy across K-media and K-netizens alike.

The controversy began because NJZ was highly critical of the K-pop system and ADOR during their dispute. They had openly denounced the very industry that helped them rise to fame in multiple foreign interviews.

“NJZ did not become stars alone. They rose to the top through the vast capital and production capabilities of the K-Pop industry.” – K-media commentary

Videos resurfaced showing their negative comments on the K-pop system, which fueled public backlash.

Soon after their return, the group also disappointed fans and industry insiders by reacting negatively to a court ruling that stopped their independent activities. Vocal member Hanni voiced dissatisfaction with the judiciary for denying their demands related to alleged workplace bullying.

“They expressed disappointment with the judiciary’s decision because their demands were not met.” – Reports on NJZ’s TIME interview comments

The group drew further ire when former CEO Min Hee Jin publicly dragged other HYBE artists like LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT into their dispute, painting fellow idols negatively.

“NJZ attempted to justify their contract termination by belittling fellow artists,” critics say.

Fan backlash is intense online with repeated calls for NJZ to apologize sincerely before resuming official promotions.

“Just don’t apologize and don’t come back. I hate it more that they will mess around after making an apology.”
“I guess they think they’ve done nothing wrong…and yet they talk about heartfelt music…”
“Don’t just write a handwritten letter…hold a press conference with reporters.”
“Isn’t it a given to apologize if they are human?”
“It’s going to be so annoying for them to say, ‘But we apologized?’ so just don’t do it.”
“They also ruined the country’s reputation…”
“I get so mad whenever I see them.”

NJZ’s full return to ADOR is now shadowed by distrust and calls for contrition over their past actions and comments. The public and industry expect a formal apology before the group officially restarts their career.
