K-Pop Girl Groups Preparing for Significant Comebacks in June
The bustling summer of 2025 is here, bringing a fierce lineup of K-pop girl groups poised to dominate the music scene. As June rolls in, the competition heats up with new debuts and exciting comebacks, all vying for the illustrious title of this year’s “Summer Queen.”
Taking center stage on June 4, 2025, KST, is USPEER, a fresh seven-member girl group from WM Entertainment. Hailed as the company’s first girl group release in nearly ten years following OH MY GIRL, their debut is highly anticipated. They will launch their single album, ‘Speed Zone’, featuring the title track ‘Zoom’ alongside the B-side ‘Telepathy’, both crafted by popular K-pop producers MonoTree. Their bold and energetic image aims to leave a lasting impression right off the bat.
Just days later, June 9, 2025, KST, is set for an explosive day with four significant comebacks. Among these is IZNA, returning with their new single ‘BEEP’, available in both Korean and Japanese versions. The group is riding high after clinching two music show trophies with their debut track ‘SIGN’ and recently taking to prominent global stages like KCON LA, Summer Sonic Japan, and KT POP Taiwan.
Another eagerly awaited comeback comes from ITZY, who will drop their mini album ‘Girls Will Be Girls’ on the same day. This marks their first return in 2025 following the release of ‘GOLD’ last October. Featuring five tracks, this album’s title track aligns perfectly with their reputation for sharp choreography and bold visuals, as they continue their quest for chart success and festival appearances.
Adding to the summer buzz, QWER, a pop-rock band, is releasing their third mini album, ‘I’m on your side, Even if the world is in discord’, also on June 9. This new effort carries forward the heartfelt narrative initiated with their debut album ‘Harmony from Discord’ and continues to reflect their artistic growth, with all six tracks showcasing their songwriting contributions.
KISS OF LIFE is returning with their fourth mini album ‘224’, following the success of last summer’s hit ‘Sticky’. Now, they’re ready to share a collection of seven tracks, with the title track ‘Lips Hips Kiss’ highlighting their evolving sound and increased confidence on stage.
A much-anticipated return is also expected from ARTMS, the five-member group featuring former LOONA members Heejin, Haseul, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry. After impressing audiences with their cinematic debut album ‘Dall (Devine All Love & Live)’, they’re ready to embark on a new chapter with ‘Club Icarus’, which promises to expand their mythological themes and musical ambitions.
Finally, on June 16, 2025, KST, ILLIT will launch their third mini album, ‘Bomb’. This album continues their thematic exploration of relationships, with the title track ‘Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance)’ blending playful charm and French house rhythms, inspired by a Korean idiom describing a sense of awkwardness. With their quirky confidence and youthful spirit, ILLIT aims to stand out.
As June unfolds, all eyes are on these dynamic groups, each bringing their unique flair to the stage. The competition to define this summer’s standout act is officially on, and fans can’t wait to see who will emerge victorious.
