LE SSERAFIM Faces Mockery Over Unexpectedly Low Album Sales
LE SSERAFIM is facing major backlash over their new comeback sales numbers.
Their latest single album SPAGHETTI hit just 92,346 first-day sales on Hanteo. That’s their lowest launch yet — even less than their debut album.
For comparison:
- 2022’s FEARLESS sold 176,861 copies first day
- HOT dropped in March with over 567,000 first-day sales
- Their record UNFORGIVEN passed 1 million on day one
This huge dip immediately caught netizens’ attention, sparking jokes and concerns online. Some pointed fingers at HYBE, hinting at police investigations into alleged sales inflation by chairman Bang Si Hyuk.

Others defended the group, saying SPAGHETTI is a single album, which usually doesn’t sell as high as full albums or mini-albums. It has 20 physical cover versions and an 8-song digital tracklist with variations of the title track and B-side “Pearlies (My Oyster is the World).”

Fans are still hopeful since CRAZY once had low first-day sales but tripled numbers by the end of its first week. Some think SPAGHETTI could follow the same pattern.
