LE SSERAFIM’s Deepfake Producers Undergo Strict Crackdown

LE SSERAFIM is fighting back hard against deepfake video creators.
The controversy started with multiple cybercrimes targeting the group. Deepfake videos with malicious intent popped up online, causing major issues for the girls. Source Music, their agency, promised legal action early on.
Now, Source Music revealed updates on December 29, KST. One deepfake creator has already been sentenced to prison. Another suspect is in custody, facing an ongoing criminal trial.
The agency is tracking these offenders despite their use of anonymous platforms like Telegram. They are working closely with law enforcement and international agencies to catch more perpetrators.
Source Music also took court action against people spreading hateful posts calling the group a “cult” or “pseudo-religion.” They successfully won defamation lawsuits in these cases.
