LISA’s ‘Alter Ego’ Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard Top Album Sales Chart

LISA, a member of the global K-pop sensation BLACKPINK, has achieved a major milestone with her first full-length studio album, Alter Ego. The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart for the week dated March 15, selling 28,000 copies in the U.S. during its first week (ending March 6).

This marks LISA as the second BLACKPINK member to secure a solo No. 1 on the chart, following ROSÉ’s -R- in December 2024. The group itself has previously landed three top 10 albums, including two No. 1s: The Album (2020) and BORN PINK (2022).

Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart ranks albums based solely on traditional sales, excluding streaming or track-equivalent units. The chart has been a key industry metric since its inception in 1991 when SoundScan (now Luminate) began tracking sales data electronically.

Alter Ego was released in multiple formats, including:

• A standard 12-track version (digital, CD, vinyl)
• A 15-track edition with bonus tracks (digital only)
• A 19-track deluxe version with remixes and a voice note (exclusive to LISA’s webstore)
• Nine CD variants, six deluxe box sets, and two vinyl editions

The album’s success follows LISA’s high-profile performance at the Academy Awards on March 2, where she paid tribute to the James Bond film series. She also recently made her acting debut in HBO’s The White Lotus (Season 3), which premiered on February 16.
