Married Actor Follows Just One Person on Instagram, and It Isn’t His Spouse

So Ji Sub revealed why he only follows one person on Instagram — and it’s a personal story with actor Song Seung Heon.

The actor appeared as a guest on SBS’s My Little Old Boy 500th episode. Hosts asked if Song Seung Heon was the sole person on his following list besides his agency. So Ji Sub confirmed it was true.

He called Song Seung Heon “like a benefactor” who helped him in tough times.

“I look up to him. Back when I wasn’t financially stable, I lived in Incheon with my mother and older sister, and I commuted to Seoul. The transportation fare felt like such a waste. Then, one day, I told hyung about it, and he said, ‘Come over and sleep here anytime.’”

So Ji Sub said Song Seung Heon opened his home to him, and even his mom cooked for him. That support made their bond very precious.

Comedian Shin Dong Yup, also on the show, shared a story from their early days. He met So Ji Sub on the 1998 MBC sitcom Three Guys And Three Girls, introduced by Song Seung Heon.

But Shin Dong Yup’s first impression was off.

“He was wearing ripped jeans, had a bunch of accessories on, and his hair was dyed, so I thought he was a delinquent.”

He even warned Song Seung Heon:

“Be careful of people who look rich and like delinquents.”

The truth was different.

“It turned out he didn’t have money, and he was a really kind and sincere young man!”
