MONSTA X’s Joohoney, Kihyun, and Hyungwon Perform Saja Boys’ “Your Idol” on ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’

MONSTA X members Hyungwon, Joohoney, and Kihyun recently took on a unique project by covering a song from a hot new Netflix animated film. On July 8, the trio released their own version of "Your Idol," a track originally performed by the fictional group Saja Boys in the movie K-Pop Demon Hunters.

To match the film’s vibe, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and Kihyun dressed up as Korean grim reapers, wearing traditional black Hanbok and the iconic ‘Gat’ hats seen in the animation. This look brought the movie’s dark and stylish aesthetic right into their cover performance.

K-Pop Demon Hunters itself came out on June 20 and quickly hit a major milestone. In just two weeks, it became the most streamed movie worldwide, topping charts in 26 different countries, including South Korea, the U.S., and Japan. Alongside the film’s success, its original soundtrack is also doing fantastic, with seven of its tracks making it onto Billboard charts, including the Hot 100 and various global rankings.
