Mother With Actor Spouse And Actress Sister Opposes Children Pursuing Acting
Kim Kang Woo’s wife refuses to let their kids debut as actors.
The controversy started with Kim Kang Woo’s recent YouTube video, where his wife, Han Moo Young, bluntly said she’s against their sons going into acting.
She said the stress is just too much.
Kim Kang Woo asked his wife if she felt awkward showing her face publicly for the first time. Han Moo Young replied, “Only one person has recognized me so far, so I’m not uncomfortable.”
Kim Kang Woo expressed worry about possible backlash after revealing her face.
Kim Kang Woo: I was worried people might leave malicious comments or say mean things after your face was revealed.
Han Moo Young: Thankfully, people have said very kind things. Jae Ah (the younger of their two sons) was surprised and asked, “How many people would even recognize you?”
But Han Moo Young had zero perks to share about being married to an actor.
“Have you ever seen me worry about anything? I don’t care at all.” she said.
“None at all.”
Kim Kang Woo also admitted his job means he sometimes neglects family.
Because of my job as an actor, I always feel sorry for my family. Everything revolves around my schedule, and that feels selfish and apologetic. There are times when I spend a lot of time with my family, but there are also times when I neglect them.
That’s why Han Moo Young shut down the idea of their children entering acting.
“I’m against it. I think it would come with too much stress.”
Kim Kang Woo agreed, highlighting the difficulty of the profession.
