Media outlets confirmed on January 22 that actress Noh Yoon Seo will join the new season, promising a fresh side to her acting.

The first season launched in August 2023 and helped launch stars like Go Youn Jung, Lee Jung Ha, and Kim Do Hoon. It even ranked as the most-watched Korean original series worldwide on Disney+, with its finale tripling first-week views.

But big changes are coming. Director Park In Je steps down. Kim Sung Hoon takes over.

Also, Lee Jung Ha’s role as Kim Bong Seok is ending as the character enlists in the Marine Corps on January 26. The role will be recast, but fans aren’t happy.

Many viewers say Bong Seok was their main reason for watching season one. Netizens reacted strongly online:

“I think it’s ok because Bong Seok’s role in season two isn’t that much. Hopefully, he can come back for season three after his discharge.”

“Nooo, my Bong Seok.”

“This is so bad…you lose focus if you swap the actor midway.”

“What can you do? He’s going to the military.”

“No…the reason I watch the series is for Bong Seok…”

“Bong Seok is Bong Seok, though…”

“I guess they can’t wait for the actors because it’s already too late.”

“Lee Jung Ha is the perfect role for Bong Seok…even if you change the actor because his role is small in the next season…it still breaks the focus.”

“Can’t do anything about it since it’s the military…”

The drama’s popularity has fans worried season two won’t hit the same marks without Lee Jung Ha’s Bong Seok. Filming starts this summer with casting still ongoing.
