NCT’s Chenle Announces Chinese Special Album ‘Lucid’ Set for May 5 Release
NCT’s Chenle is gearing up for the release of his special Chinese album, Lucid, on May 5 at 12:22 p.m. KST. The announcement came from his agency, SM Entertainment, on May 4 (KST), revealing a collaboration with Tencent Music Entertainment (TME).

The album will be available across major Chinese music platforms, including QQ Music, Kugou Music, Kuwo Music, and Bodiem Music, with a physical release also planned in China. Lucid features three tracks, each offering a unique emotional journey.
The title track, Lucid, combines soaring strings with Chenle’s powerful high notes to convey a message of overcoming loneliness and achieving brilliance. Another track, Tear Bridge, is a remake of the original soundtrack from the 2003 drama Someday or One Day, enriched by Chenle’s delicate vocals.
The third track, Cosmic Joke, features Zhu Bichang and explores the theme of letting go of dreams, marked by a poignant blend of idealism and reality. This collaboration marks a reunion for Chenle and Zhu Bichang, who first met on a Chinese television program years ago.
Fans can also look forward to the music video for Lucid, premiering on May 5 at 12:22 p.m. KST via NCT and NCT Dream’s official YouTube channels.
