Negotiations Between NJZ (NewJeans) And ADOR Collapse

NewJeans’ NJZ and ADOR fail to settle lawsuit in latest mediation

The legal dispute between NJZ (NewJeans) and ADOR hit another dead end after a mediation session on August 14 at Seoul Central District Court.

Members Danielle and Minji appeared in court for the mediation hearing tied to ADOR’s lawsuit against them. Before entering, they only said to reporters:

“We’re sorry.”

The session lasted about an hour and twenty minutes but ended with no resolution.

A second mediation is already scheduled for September 11. If that also fails, the court plans a final verdict on October 30.

The conflict traces back to tensions between former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin and parent company HYBE. HYBE, which owns 80% of ADOR, accused Min of trying to seize control, while Min accused HYBE of meddling in ADOR’s creative independence and NewJeans’ management.

This ongoing fight will decide if ADOR’s exclusive contracts with NJZ are valid — and ultimately, the group’s future.

Stay tuned for updates.
