New Boy Group Unexpectedly Criticizes BTS in Contentious Video

December 10 is already facing major backlash for slamming BTS — and they haven’t even debuted yet.
The controversy began after a clip from Simon Cowell’s new Netflix show Simon Cowell: The Next Act went viral on December 14. The show revealed the formation of a new 7-member boy band called December 10, with members Cruz (19), Danny (16), Hendrick (19), John (17), Josh (17), Nicolas (16), and Sean (19).
In the clip, Cruz openly criticized BTS, calling them “terrible” and mocking their success selling out Wembley Stadium.
If BTS can sell out Wembley Stadium in flipping five minutes, we could sell out Pluto in five minutes. Another planet. Nah, I’m serious. They’re terrible.
— Cruz of December 10
Fans quickly reacted with outrage, especially BTS’s ARMY, who blasted the disrespect.

Many netizens accused the group and Simon Cowell of using the comments as a deliberate ploy for attention and controversy.
This is probably Salmon Cowbell’s strategy to get them the public’s attention. Just ignore them and let them flop in silence

This is clearly ragebait. They know how big BTS are and how much talking about them bring attention from ARMY by defending them and also from anti who will applaud them for shitting on BTS. Good or bad this will just put light on them. Let’s ignore. They’re doing it for promo.

The group has yet to debut or drop any original music. Fans are watching closely to see how this drama will impact their future.
