NewJeans’ Danielle Lawsuit Sees ADOR’s Legal Team Filing Withdrawal

NewJeans’ Danielle is at the center of fresh controversy as ADOR’s legal team abruptly withdrew from the massive ₩43.1 billion KRW ($29.2 million USD) lawsuit against her.

On April 24, ADOR’s lawyers from Kim & Chang filed a notice of withdrawal with the Seoul Central District Court. The lawsuit names Danielle, a family member, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin as defendants.

This sudden legal exit is raising eyebrows because the next hearing is set for May 14—less than three weeks away. ADOR now faces the challenge of appointing a new legal representative, which could delay the court proceedings.

Fans quickly pointed out that ADOR has yet to submit key evidence for the case, fueling speculation that the withdrawal is a deliberate delay tactic.

and they still haven’t submitted anything related to the case (evidence etc.), hearing is in less then 3 weeks.

The lawsuit has left Danielle’s career in limbo since ADOR terminated her exclusive contract in December 2025. Without a label or group, the ongoing legal battle and potential delays only extend her uncertainty.

Online reactions are harsh, accusing ADOR of dragging out the process:

they probably did this to delay the trial, i’m not gagging yet

Literally exhausting every method in their playbook just to delay the lawsuit from proceeding.
Disgusting little company that only pretends to care for the members and their fans.

At the first hearing in March, Danielle’s legal team already accused ADOR of intentionally slowing down the case, harming her during what should be the peak of her career.
