NewJeans’ Danielle Shares Omega Ad Video and Photos Amid Contract Dispute

On June 18, reports from the entertainment industry revealed that NewJeans recently tried to sign a direct contract with the luxury watch brand Omega, bypassing their agency ADOR. This move was reportedly made through a manager affiliated with ADOR, known as Manager A.

It turns out that NewJeans have been trying to cut ties with ADOR and have been claiming their contract ended on May 29. After that date, they attempted to negotiate advertising deals directly with brands by going through ADOR personnel but without informing the agency itself. This has caused some friction between the agency and the group.

In a recent interview, Manager A commented on the situation:

"NewJeans communicated to the brand their intention to proceed with the advertising contracts that were signed prior to the termination of the exclusive contract, as originally agreed." Manager A

This statement stirred controversy because it basically admits that NewJeans were trying to deal directly with sponsors, sidestepping ADOR’s authority.

On top of the Omega situation, NewJeans also reportedly reached out directly to other luxury brands. This time, they contacted another former ADOR manager, known as Manager B, suggesting a pattern of going around the agency to make these deals happen.

In response, ADOR has taken steps to address the situation. Manager A, who negotiated with Omega without company approval, has been put on standby leave. ADOR has also warned Omega that entering into contracts directly with the artists might be a violation of their exclusive contract terms. The agency has made it clear to Omega and other brands that all advertising appearances need to go through ADOR.
