Oh My Girl’s Arin Changes Look with Short Hair for New Thriller ‘S Line’
Arin from the K-pop girl group Oh My Girl is stepping into a very different look for her latest acting project, the upcoming Wavve original drama S Line. On June 30, the show dropped character stills of Arin that immediately caught attention—she sports a short haircut and a fresh, barefaced look that’s a big change from her usual cheerful, youthful style.
S Line is a fantasy thriller set to premiere on July 11, with episodes rolling out over three weeks—two episodes each on July 11, 18, and 25. The series dives into a spooky concept: people start seeing a mysterious red thread called the “S Line” connecting individuals who have had sexual relationships. These visible bonds bring hidden secrets and forbidden desires to light, setting off a gripping chain of events.
In the drama, Arin plays Hyun Heup, a girl uniquely able to see these red threads. Because of this strange ability, she’s lived pretty isolated from others. But things change when she becomes the only witness to a shocking murder. Partnering with detective Ji Wook, played by Lee Soo Hyuk, Hyun Heup digs deeper into what these lines really mean and what her own role is in the midst of the mystery.
The show also stars Lee Da Hee and Lee Eun Saem, rounding out a strong cast eager to bring this suspenseful story to life.
Arin has been gaining more attention as an actress alongside her career with Oh My Girl, where she debuted back in 2015 as the group’s youngest member. Fans have seen her in acting roles before, like in Alchemy of Souls and The World of My 17, and it seems like she’s carving out a solid path as an actress while still holding on to her idol roots.
Her bold transformation for S Line is definitely a sign she’s ready to try new things and tackle complex characters.
