Park Bo Gum Admits He’s an I-DLE Fan in Latest Episode of ‘The Seasons – Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile’
In an exciting twist on the latest episode of The Seasons – Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile, actor and host Park Bo Gum revealed his admiration for the K-pop girl group I-DLE.
The episode, which aired recently, featured I-DLE as special guests who not only discussed their latest music release but also opened up about their rebranding journey. Park Bo Gum, clearly excited, mentioned that he includes their songs in his workout playlists.
He was particularly intrigued by the group’s decision to simplify their name from (G)I-DLE to just I-DLE. “It’s not an easy feat to change a group name,” he commented. Soyeon, I-DLE’s leader, clarified, “To be honest, when we first debuted, we thought our name would be just I-DLE. However, after we debuted, we noticed articles often referred to us as (Girl) I-DLE or (G)I-DLE. We were always ‘I-DLE’ from the beginning.”
Park Bo Gum praised how all the members contributed to their new album, highlighting their collaborative spirit. As Soyeon noted, “This is the first album all our members worked on together. I believe we know how to write our team’s songs best.”
Adding to the discussion about their music, Park Bo Gum shared, “One of the songs I love to listen to while working out is ‘Senorita.’ It’s really good. I’m also impressed by the lyrics for ‘i’M THE TREND’ and I like ‘Give Me Your’ as well.” His enthusiasm was palpable as he spoke about their tracks.
Moreover, Park Bo Gum shared that he has a special appreciation for Minnie‘s vocals. He recalled meeting her during the Music Bank World Tour two years ago. “Didn’t we perform on stage together then?” asked the I-DLE members. He responded, “That’s right. We sang ‘Remember Me.’ I played the piano and you sang. We didn’t have time to rehearse, but when I heard Minnie’s voice through the in-ear monitor, I was completely taken in.”
