Popular Entertainment Show Faces Cancellation Following Several Guest DUI Arrests
Lee Jae Ryong is facing heavy backlash after a drunk hit-and-run scandal—and it’s dragging comedian Shin Dong Yup’s YouTube show Zzanbro into the mess.
The controversy began with Lee Jae Ryong’s appearance on the February 23, 2026 episode of Zzanbro, a popular drinking show hosted by Shin Dong Yup. Lee came on with actor friends Ahn Jae Wook, Yoon Da Hoon, and Sung Ji Roo. Both Lee and Ahn have previous DUI records, making their guest spots controversial from the start.
During the episode, Lee said,
“I’ve been really into tequila lately,”
while Ahn added,
“I’ve never beaten Jae Ryong in drinking, and I’ve never even seen him drunk.”
Less than two weeks after the episode aired, Lee Jae Ryong was arrested for drunk driving at around 2 AM on March 7 in Gangnam District. He crashed into a center divider and fled the scene. Later, he went to a friend’s house, where police caught him. His blood alcohol level reportedly reached license suspension thresholds.
The Zzanbro episode featuring Lee has already been set to private amid demands to delete it, but the show’s team has yet to issue an official response. Fans aren’t holding back in the comments, blasting the show for promoting excessive drinking and putting guests with criminal records on air.
