“About 11 years ago, I played a serial killer in the film The Deal.
After filming a particularly intense scene, I suddenly found myself sitting in front of a blank TV screen… but I had no memory of how I got there.”

He also talked about going too deep into his dark role in the 2020 drama Rugal. The intense work, plus cutting carbs for shirtless scenes, led to terrifying symptoms.

“I went too intense with it—shooting people, stabbing them, screaming like I’d lost my mind. I also had shirtless scenes, so I cut out carbs, which made me extremely sensitive. It got to the point where I went to the hospital on my own.
I was worried I might hurt someone, so I put away all the knives in the house.
Then, one day, I was driving on the highway with my son, and I kept having the urge to jerk the steering wheel. I thought if I held it normally, I might actually turn it, so I drove gripping it with just my fingers.”
