Rain Addresses Kim Tae Hee’s Emotional Solo Parenting Claims

Rain is facing controversy over claims his wife Kim Tae Hee handles all the childcare alone.

The controversy began after a preview aired on tvN’s You Quiz on the Block on May 20. Rain appeared on the show and addressed the issue directly.

Rain talked about reuniting with Yoo Jae Seok from their SSAK3 days, joking about feeling nervous to be praised or roasted.

Then Yoo Jae Seok asked if Rain watched Kim Tae Hee’s previous episode appearance. Rain said,

“I did. I need to mention it. I was holding her in bed watching it together. ‘She did so well.’ But then there’s more after that.”

Rain revealed the scene cut right after Kim Tae Hee got emotional talking about parenting stress.

“She appeared but unintentionally, at the ending when she talked about the stress of parenting, covered her mouth, and her eyes welled up with tears, that’s when the scene cut.”

This sparked rumors that Kim Tae Hee is the only one doing childcare.

_”I got a lot of calls from many people,” he explained.
_”They said, ‘Do you not help with childcare at home?’ But that’s not true… These days, in short clips showing teary eyes, people ask, ‘Why don’t you help?’ I handle school drop-offs and pick-ups—I have my role too,” Rain clarified.

Yoo Jae Seok added,

“If you only see that, it might seem like all the difficulties of parenting fall solely on Kim Tae Hee.”

Rain agreed,

“That’s true. She calls for her mom more than me.”

Yoo Jae Seok teased Rain about kids calling their dads too.

Rain laughed but admitted,

“I watch You Quiz every week, but it feels like I’m the only one getting roasted.”

Yoo Jae Seok laughed,
