Rapper Who Dissed BTS Sentenced to Prison

B-FREE is facing serious trouble. He’s been sentenced to 1 year and 4 months in prison for assault and bodily injury.
The controversy began with an attack back in June 2024. B-FREE, real name Choi Sung Ho, was arguing loudly at an apartment building in Seoul. He was shouting, swearing, and honking his motorcycle by the entrance. Resident A complained about the noise.
Things got worse. B-FREE responded with more profanity. When Resident A confronted him, B-FREE assaulted him physically.
Resident A suffered facial lacerations, a tripod fracture, and traumatic optic neuropathy in his right eye. The injury caused a visual field impairment that needed eight weeks of medical treatment.
The Seoul High Court Criminal Division 3 upheld the lower court’s decision on January 2, 2026 (KST).
“The defendant’s conduct is highly blameworthy, and because the victim suffered a potentially permanent visual field defect in the lower right eye, severe punishment is unavoidable.”

B-FREE is no stranger to controversy. He’s known for beefing with BTS members Suga and RM, even calling BTS “grown men acting like boys” in a 2022 album.
