Red Velvet’s Wendy Suddenly Cancels Concert Without Explanation, Provoking Backlash

Wendy is facing backlash after her label abruptly cancelled a North America tour stop without explanation.
The controversy began on October 28 when ASND announced via Wendy’s official X account that the Atlanta stop of her W:EALIVE world tour, set for November 13, was cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances.” Refunds were promised, but no other details were shared.
Fans quickly speculated poor ticket sales were to blame. None of Wendy’s seven U.S. shows have sold out, and venues still have many empty seats. Complaints about high ticket prices and weak promotion flooded social media.
Angry fans are calling out ASND and the tour’s production partner, Fromm, demanding better planning and accountability. Some fans reported losing money on travel and VIP packages.
“Much love to Wannie still@ASNDLABEL I hope you take this as a learning opportunity and stop milking Wendy fans for money. Please do better next time and conduct proper market research instead of blindly letting Fromm do things (and better yet, stop working with Fromm)”
