Red Velvet’s Yeri Admits She Broke Down Crying Upon Leaving SM Entertainment

Red Velvet‘s Yeri opened up about the emotional stress she faced leaving SM Entertainment earlier this year.
On August 8, KST, Yeri appeared on Hyeri‘s YouTube show, Hyell’s Club, where she described the tough night when her contract expired.
Yeri revealed she hit a breaking point as her contract ended right after wrapping a drama shoot. Without time to prepare or hold meetings, she said the transition became overwhelming.
She admitted,
“I was crying a lot while drinking makgeoli.”

Yeri shared that she initially expected to handle the change calmly due to her mellow personality, but emotions hit hard as the moment approached.
She also talked about bonding with her new manager thanks to their similar personalities.
Despite the breakdown, Yeri credits her support system for helping her through the stressful period. She is now satisfied with her new agency after the difficult shift.
