Seventeen’s Hoshi and Woozi Scheduled for Military Enlistment This September

Seventeen’s Hoshi and Woozi are set to begin their mandatory military service this September. According to their agency, Pledis Entertainment, Woozi will enlist as an active-duty soldier in the Army on September 15, with Hoshi following the very next day, September 16.

Leading up to this, the duo will carry out their last scheduled activities, including the HOSHI X WOOZI FAN CONCERT [WARNING] and a video call fan sign event tied to their 5th full album. Once they start their service, they won’t be able to join Seventeen’s group activities for a while. However, fans, known as CARATs, can look forward to plenty of pre-prepared content to keep the connection alive.

The agency also asked fans to avoid visiting the military training center for the entrance ceremonies, which are private events with many soldiers and their families present. Instead, they encouraged everyone to send farewell messages and words of support through Weverse.

"Since the training center entrance ceremonies are occasions attended by many soldiers and their families, we kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting the site. Please send your farewell messages and words of support for Hoshi and Woozi through Weverse instead." Pledis Entertainment

Pledis wrapped up their statement by asking for ongoing support from CARATs, hoping that Hoshi and Woozi can serve their duties well and come back healthy. The company also promised to keep supporting both artists during this period.

Born in 1996, both Hoshi and Woozi debuted with Seventeen in 2015 and have been active ever since. They’ll be the third and fourth members of the group to enlist, following Jeonghan and Wonwoo. It’s a significant moment for Seventeen, as these enlistments will change the group’s activities temporarily, but fans seem ready to support them through the transition.
