SF9’s Rowoon to Begin Military Service in July
Rowoon, previously recognized as a member of the K-pop sensation SF9, is preparing to embark on a new chapter as he gears up for military service this summer.
According to a statement from his agency, FNC Entertainment, Rowoon is slated to report to a training facility starting on July 21, where he will begin his mandatory service as an active-duty soldier in the Army.
Before he bids farewell to his fans, Rowoon has scheduled a special fan meeting, “Before Blooming,” which will take place on May 31 at the Donghae Culture and Arts Center at Kwangwoon University in Seoul. This event will serve as an opportunity for him to connect with supporters one last time before his enlistment.
Rowoon launched his career in 2016 as SF9’s lead vocalist. After concluding his contract with FNC in 2023, he made the decision to leave the group and concentrate exclusively on his acting pursuits.
He has built an impressive resume with roles in several popular dramas, such as ‘School 2017’, ‘Where Stars Land’, ‘Extraordinary You’, ‘Find Me in Your Memory’, ‘She Would Never Know’, ‘The King’s Affection’, and ‘Destined with You’. Fans are eagerly awaiting the debut of his new series on Disney+, titled ‘Turbid’, which is currently in the works.
