“You’re completely and successfully cured.”

Cha Hyun Seung smiled and said:

“Hearing that clearly feels amazing. I’m so happy.”

Hospital staff told him:

“Now you can do whatever you want in life, just avoid anything bad for your body.”

Follow-up tests are set for three months later.

Back home, Cha Hyun Seung said:

“I’ve come home after being declared cured. I can’t believe it; I feel so great. I first went to the hospital around May, and now it’s just before Christmas. It feels like I’ve been given a second life as a Christmas gift.”

His road to recovery was brutal. He described the bone marrow test as:

“The most painful test ever. When the anesthesia wore off, the pain was unbearable, and even my leg became numb.”

During chemotherapy, he faced headaches, nausea, chills, low blood counts, and repeated hospital admissions. He shared raw footage of capillaries bursting and blood transfusions to show the harsh reality of his fight.

Despite everything, Cha Hyun Seung kept a positive attitude online:

“This chemo is the hardest yet, but I’ll endure.”

“Little by little, slowly, I’ll beat this to the end.”

He joked:

“Being bald is so comfortable,”

and expressed growing trust in himself:

“At first, this path was scary, but now I’ve begun to trust myself.”

He opened up about mental struggles too:

“My mind was more exhausted than my body. I wondered why something like this was happening to me.”

To others fighting illness, he advised:

“Rather than telling them ‘You must definitely win,’ I want to say, ‘This too shall pass,’ to face it calmly. You just mustn’t give up.”

Cha Hyun Seung rose to fame as a dancer for Sunmi and gained more attention through Netflix’s Single’s Inferno and Physical: 100. He’s now moving into acting, taking on drama roles.
