NCT Dream is facing backlash after a viral video surfaced showing staff mistreating fans at their Shopee Thailand fansign event on August 15, 2025.

The clip captures event staff putting their hands on fans’ bodies and forcibly moving them down the line. In one instance, a fan gets pushed away before even reaching a member.

Fans quickly condemned the treatment as unacceptable, especially coming from SM Entertainment, which has been criticized for similar issues before.

The outrage includes calls for better fan care:

“I’ve had this happen to me, too. For real, there was a time I couldn’t even say goodbye to the last member… Don’t blame the fans who suffer, blame the company for pulling crap like that. Stop treating people like they’re nothing.”

“Honestly, where else do you spend money and get treated like that besides in K-Pop fandoms? If you spend as much as a fansign costs at a department store, you’d be treated like royalty.”

“Even after getting sued, they just pay a fine and go right back to doing it, so what are fans supposed to do?… That pink-hat manager… is the real problem.”

Many fans pointed fingers at SM Entertainment’s poor event management, calling the company a “repeat offender” and demanding change.

“SM Entertainment again..? Seriously, nothing ever changes there.”

Others urged idols themselves to speak up:

“If they’ve been active for about 10 years, the idols themselves should at least make suggestions in instances like this… What’s the point of just saying ‘we love you’ if the actions don’t match?”

The controversy grew amid renewed scrutiny after a recent incident involving Lim Young Woong’s fan treatment, sparking broader debate on event standards.
