Sources Report Danielle Joined ADOR Staff at ‘OMEGA’ Launch Event in Kyoto, Japan
NewJeans member Danielle made headlines again on June 18 KST when she appeared at the OMEGA AquaTerra 30mm Launching Event in Kyoto, Japan. This marked her first public outing in quite a while, and her look definitely caught people’s eyes—she debuted a striking blonde bob and a chic off-shoulder dress that turned heads.
However, her appearance stirred some controversy. A number of fans and observers worried that Danielle might have crossed a line with her management, ADOR, by attending this event independently amidst an ongoing legal dispute. There were questions about whether this outing violated the terms of her exclusive contract.
That concern has now been cleared up. Sources confirmed on June 19 KST that the schedule for Danielle’s presence at the OMEGA event was actually arranged well before the current legal issues arose. She was chosen as a global ambassador for OMEGA last year, and her contract requires her to continue fulfilling those ambassador duties until it officially ends. For now, ADOR is helping her manage these remaining responsibilities.
The background to this tense situation includes a recent ruling from a South Korean court on June 17 KST. The court rejected an appeal filed by the NewJeans members, which sought permission to engage in independent activities free from their contractual ties to ADOR. According to the court’s decision, if any member carries out projects without ADOR’s approval, they each face a hefty penalty of 1 billion KRW.
Despite the tough legal battle, Danielle’s latest public appearance at the OMEGA launch clarifies that she is still bound to her ambassador role and must complete the duties laid out in that agreement.
