STAYC’s Sieun Brings Heartfelt Charm to 2025 KBS Children’s Song Contest as MC
Sieun of STAYC recently showcased her talents as an MC for the 2025 KBS ‘Children’s Song Contest’. The event aired on KBS1 on May 5th KST, where the singer co-hosted alongside announcer Park Chul Kyu and child actor Oh Eun Seo.
First held in 1989, the KBS Children’s Song Contest is recognized as Korea’s leading creative children’s song festival. It aims to discover new songs each year, nurturing healthy emotions and rich sensibilities in children.
Sieun delivered a smooth and engaging performance as MC throughout the event. She helped create a joyful Children’s Day celebration, which also included a heartwarming special stage featuring her.
The STAYC member opened the show with her co-hosts Park Chul Kyu and Oh Eun Seo, joined by the Yedong Choir. Together, they performed a medley of songs including “Fanfare,” “Children’s Day Song,” and “Songs Are Magic Buses.”
During the contest, Sieun also shared a personal memory related to the event, adding a heartfelt touch to her hosting.

The singer skillfully managed her MC duties by interviewing choir members, composers, and lyricists who reached the finals. She highlighted key points to appreciate in their work and offered warm encouragement to ease their nerves before performances.
After each performance, Sieun seamlessly transitioned to asking judges for their feedback. Her thoughtful reflections and natural ability to engage the audience enhanced the show’s enjoyment, for instance, after the performance of “One Spoon,” she remarked on its charm.

Meanwhile, STAYC, the group Sieun belongs to, recently celebrated success with their 2025 STAYC Tour ‘Stay Tuned’ in Seoul, which was a sold-out show. Starting in June, they are set to continue their world tour with stops in 11 cities including Osaka, Tokyo, Jakarta, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taipei.
